| Ok so I got a 1970 fuel injected squareback today and I did the usual stuff to be able to try to start it. After cleaning the tank, changing the fuel lines and filter, and replacing the battery, and an oil change, I tried to start her... just turned...over and over with not so much as a chug... When I turn on the key, I dont hear the pump running... I remember I used to hear that back when I had my fastback. is there a way to test this? thanks in advance. |

read -- or skim the injection sticky -- the CPU should be turning on the pump for two seconds after you turn on the key -- so either it is doing it's job and the pump is not turning on, or you don't have power to the cpu (or a bad cpu). To check the pump -- ground the pump relay junction connection in the engine compartment, left hand side to the front of the car -- it is the only single plastic junction connection. If the pump come on now (with the key on) - then the pump relay and pump are ok - if not --- well read the sticky.

Thanks,
I was wondering if anyone has a picture of it? I can't seem to locate it. |
