OK, who makes the best quality repro sheet metal and where do you buy it?
Need passenger side half pan (battery area and slightly beyond, A rear apron that actually fits right, and jack support sections. 1968 VW Type 1 sedan. I know everyone is going to say salvage used OG from the wreckers or check classifieds for OG and I would never be silly enough to disagree that that would be my best bet for quality and obviously OG metal is the best. I live in Minneapolis, and good luck finding any good OG sheetmetal in yards here! And the price of OG from a dry climate plus shipping would be cost prohibitive to my project.

Soo.. Chime in here and tell me where to get repro good fitting, quality metal on line. Also where to avoid???

I picked up a couple small repair panels from midamerica.
The metal seems thick and sturdy, but I'll know once I cut out the little
bit of rust how thick the OG is.

The sticked on the repair panel has everything written in german so, who knows, maybe I got lucky and missed the other crap.
