Hey guys:

Will my temp light still blink if I have a bad voltage stabilizer in cluster?

I have no gas gauge or temp gauge, but light blinks as normal...

Yes.

Muchass Grassyass... Someone mentioned at some point that these are very common and can be bought at Radio Shack... I think I'll go that route first before paying 25$ for the part including shipping.

Also, is there any way to visually know if the regulator is bad??

No, I doubt there's any difference you can see unless the thing completely fried itself. Just do the voltage output check as described in Bentley. Any voltage regulator chip with the right output V would do the job.

Hey guys:

Replaced my voltage stabilizer... bought 3 different ones at Radio Shack and nothing... No gas gauge, no temp gauge...

They did not fail at the same time, so that makes me think it's not the stabilizer, however it didn't hurt to try.

Everything seems to be working properly otherwise.... Light blinks on startup, fan comes on when hot etc. What else could it be to get the temp working again??
