We have had a statewide ban on fireworks since 2002.
The only thing allowed are the big public displays. |

Which is nice for me because I'm in charge of the big city sponsored display.

Never been, but I hear the Boston Charles River fireworks are bitchen good. 20,000 pounds of explosives in two hours.
I've always been a dry ice/2 liter fan myself, but city folk don't take too kindly to the kind of insanity that passes in rural towns..... |

Iowa has had a ban on fireworks for as long as I can remember.
That is why Missourian's have increased there economy by having large roadside fireworks shops at the first exit over the boarder on I-35.
You pull in the parking lots of the stores, and you think you are still in Iowa. Every car in the lot has Iowa license plates. |
