| This is the number stamped on tranny 7349899. It came out of a 1968 with a 1965 motor. How do I find out the type and if it will work with my 1974 1600 dp ? |

Does it have CV joints or swing axles? If it has CV joints it's IRS and will bolt on to your 74. Most '68s with manual transmission were swing axle, while the auto sticks were IRS. In '69 and later they were all IRS.

| Sorry it is a swing axle. I was wondering about year make and fitting a newer engine. |
