View original topic: original interior wood panel paint

I have just taken off all the interior wood paint and am about to re-stain/paint them and Home Depot doesn't have a match (even though they advertise to have match any color to anything). Does anyone have an idea on the color or code for them? I am even looking for something close, to the light white/teak color. I want to keep the original panels for my original bus, as opposed to cutting new ones, the old are fit enough to keep, and just the stain was cracking a bit in places. Also, does anyone know where I can find the silver clips that go with them? I am missing a few.

Thanks

The problem with matching a factory finish is, the factory sprayed on the original finish.
You will not replicate the finish unless you do it the same way.
There are colors that can be added to lacquer and sprayed on until the desired effect is reached. These are made specifically for this.
If you don't have the know-how , you'll just have to live with what you are capable of.
I posted some of what I did in your other thread in the Bay forum. At least I think it was your post.
