I just got a 1975 convertable that won't start. I bought a bentley manual and tested the FI system and found my injectors don't spray. I found that i am getting continuity between the injector wire and the cars chassis. The book says replace the wiring harness.
Do you think i need to replace the harness or is somthing else causing the the continuity?
Thanks

Remember the Bentley was written when this harness would have been available everywhere... Check the wiring for a short. If you find one, you can replace just that wire.
More experienced FI guys will be around shortly... |

does non of the injectors spray? even when they are all out of the injector seats?
Are you sure you have enough pressure in the fuel lines? If I remember correctly, under 27PSI they will not spray.
As for the continuity problem, ypu will have to test the harness. It's not that big and goes from the computer behind the rear seat to the injectors and sensors that are on the engine. Try to disconnect from the computer first and test. If there is still continuity I would start by disconnecting the plugs from the cold start valve and the rest of the componenets on the engine in hopes that one of them is the culprit. |

Well, your double relay is grounding. Check with a wiring diagram that some "wiring designer" didn't mess the wires up. People come up with some crazy ideas trying to save the cost for such a relay. |
