Mr. Raby is not shy about his dislike for the Porsche 901 gearbox.
Power robber, slow shifter, expensive....
My vehicle weighs less than 2000 pounds, I can live with a 4 speed.
Hope to start with 200hp, later 400 hp. Street/DE use only, no drag racing.
How would a built bug irs or 6 rib bus compare to a stock Porsche 901 or 915, both durability and cost and operation, including shift feel?
And what general levels of prep are there for the VWs?
Any informative links appreciated.
