Just got 83 Westy last Friday.

I’ve had the whole week off to work on it.

1. Reseal fuel tank kit $140
2. New tires $500
3. New curtains $180
4. Decal kit $20
5. New hookup doors $40 Decals for doors $20
6. Fuel hose replacement kit $60
7. Fix leaking tranny ?
8. Fix oil leaks yes I think there are at least 3.
New popup cause I tried to move in garage with it up and drove it into garage door hanger. $500 plus installation?

9. New material for bench and lower bed $100
10 Finding someone or shop to make and install?
11.Glue to glue down leftover Brazilian Walnut for floor? $50

12. New high intensity break lights?
13. New brakes?
14. New carpet for front? $200
15. Fix after market A/C so family will actually go somewhere with me in Florida during the summer (God only knows better get to Church and light some candles)

My wife made the curtains, cleaned the van top to bottom, suffered through 103 temps in Alabama last summer no a/c. Thinks the 16's look cute. Priceless. 8)

I have pretty much told my wife she can either have a used car that she can drive or a new one that stays parked. She has chosen the driving option.

My girlfriend told me to buy my latest syncro van even though I have 2 other vanagons. She said that the stock tires looked funny and I should put big tires on it (now sporting 225/75/16's). I am quickly approaching double the purchase price with upgrades(S.A. grill, lift kit, new shocks/struts, new cooling system etc..) and motor conversion. All she talks about is the trips we will take in it- Baja, New mexico, Utah, Canada etc. I think that she is worse than me!

She is almost 6 months pregnet, who know what she will do at this point :shock:
