I wish I knew. I've only been waiting 4 months for a stock trans. I'm going to have to make a house call.

It seems others are having some issues with Curtis. Curtis I hope you are monitoring this post. There are some wonderful and helpful people on this site. Take some time to respond to your current clients and they will repay you with some kind words I am sure.

If he does respond to his current clients, the only thing he does is lie. He has told so many lies that he can't keep them straight anymore. I've been told my trans is done, ordering parts for it, still on the jig, Are you using reduction boxes  when I ordered a straight axle for a lowered bus..... whatever he can say and use to make excuses. I have his home address if anyone wants to meet up.

ok, I just received a phone call from Curtis. He says he is just backed up on everyones work. He said my trans will be delivered next week. He also said he would deliver it to my house on Saturday but I told him to use the money I paid for shipping and ship it and stay in the shop and keep working. I believe he just took the wrong route by not answering emails that we were sending. It just makes everyone think that he had taken our money and ran. Especially after what Steve Serrano did a few months ago. Hopefully everything will turn out for the best and I can contact Everett and get my post(s) deleted.

I am wiitholding any comments until I am satisfied that all clients including myself are satisfied and happy with the product we asked to complete and paid for in good faith. We here at Samba support our mechanics and posters nationwide but we expect services rendered for payment given.

Steve,

Let me know how you make out on Sat. either way. I have been on that promise end more than a few times. I received a phone call as well but my car is still not in my garage, completed.

I never let my fellow members know what my issue was because I wanted to be fair and balanced and not trash anyone. Now knowing I was not the only person having problems. I can say I have a good portion of a resto project being done by Curtis.

My project started Sept. 4 2007. Sedan off chassis, one new channel, two pans, lowered front end, front discs, rebuilt trans, etc. Not a small project by any means. The communication is painstaking at times. I have purchased every part necessary, made trips to his garage (over 1.5 hrs away since the move), you name it.

I have been moved, bumped, put on hold, whatever. We are now approaching the one year mark and though I got my call. I will believe it when I see it.

Curtis has a wonderful talent that I can not produce with my own hands. At the end of the day complete the work that your current customers have commissioned you to do, PERIOD.

Keep me up to date.

I also heard he is good people and based on earlier feedback, choose him to build be my tranny. The tranny was late, which caused some issues, both nothing major. But due to that delay, I just installed the tranny and now seems there may be an issue with finding some gears. I have tried to contact him, but, just like earlier, its hard to get a hold of him. For now, I am patiently waiting to hear from him. Will keep this thread posted, but for now, not running :(

I'm having the trans shipped so he can stay working on other cars and projects so I will not see him on Saturday. I received the nose cone on Friday. He had it drop shipped from another company.I should be seeing a FedEx tracking number and hopefully my trans sometime this week. If not, I'll be back on here posting again.

So Curtis, Since you don't respond to my emails anymore, Can you give me a date of when my trans will be shipped?

MTIguy Tue Jul 29, 2008 5:32 pm

This is like the twilight zone movie or a cheap soap opera. My vote is "As the Stomach Turns". Curtis I give you credit for getting involved in the post. Your words are encouraging but lets all move past this once and for all.

Not being selfish I hope everyone I have been in contact with gets their situation squared away. Anyone else wants to contact me feel free. Thanks for all the support guys.

I will be the first to give Curtis credit on my car for the workmanship on it, WHEN IT GETS DONE. He can make future clients or lose any reference whatsoever, balls in your court my man.

Just had a long conversation with Curtis and he has come up with some things to do/check regarding my shifting issues. Waiting for a ring clip for the hanger bushing that is on back order from another vendor so I can proceed with troubleshooting.

Curtis, it seems to me you are a LIAR... since you said I would have my trans by Tuesday and now it's Thursday night and still nothing. A real BIG FUCKING surprise on my end. You don't answer your emails and now it seems that your company phone has been disconnected. Does anyone have this fucks home number? PLEASE prove me wrong and show everyone your NOT a fucking crook. You better fucking contact me before I drive my ass to your house. Believe me, you don't want to see me.

Deh Shark Thu Jul 31, 2008 4:54 pm
