| i got a billet steering wheel, smooth horn button and adapter. i think i tryed of every possible way to hook up the horn button and i can't seem to get it to work. seems like the button isn't work properly. and the adapter i got with the wheel only has 2 holes in it. on the instruction the adapter has 4 holes. please help! |

If you take the wire you have coming up the steering shaft and touch it to ground, does the horn sound?
If not, you have a problem with the horn.
This wire is HOT and it completes the circuit to ground to blow the horn.
Now look at your horn button set up. Where ever this wire attaches it must be insulated from ground. If not, then the horn will blow all the time.
When you push the horn button, this wire, or a contact that it is connected to, should touch ground on the steering wheel, causing the horn to blow.
Hope this helps you think it through. Its difficult to tell you what to do without seeing what you are working with. |
