I remember reading the right way to install the lowering springs but i cant find the thread it was on.
So i got my set of h&r purple springs form allsprings.com in the mail today. Im itchen to run home and install them but what side is up?
Does the tighter coils go up or down?
The back springs have a flat on one end (last coil ground flat) up or down.
Thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure that the tighter (closer together?) coils are supposed to be on the top. Those coils are going to sit flat on one another, and aren't intended to provide any travel. they are there to keep the spring in place when the suspension droops.
As far as the flat coil... if I remember correctly... I think it was on the bottom of the spring. It doesn't fit very well into the notch in the trailing arm, (which is clearly shaped for a fully round coil) but for me, it has been working just fine like that for quite a while. |
