well i rebuilt it and found insect bodies in the strainer. how in the world did they get in my fuel system? someone had previously reversed the primary and secondary main jets. runs much better now... a few more hosses. ain't it fun?

Weber (and most weber suppliers) are morons, they erroneously put the larger idle jet in the primary, which is backwards. Do not duplicate this monstrous error!!!!

The primary idle should be 45ish, the secondary idle 60-70. If you want to foul plugs, have a massive flat spot at 1/3 throttle, and drop 10mpg put the bigger idle jet in the primary.

I have most of the pages listed printed in a folder. Took me some tinkering to get mine tuned for the elevation here (6500') now 100 mile round trip gets 31 mpg.
Lots and lots bash the weber but tuned correctly it is simple.
