Hey mackmix, it looks like the bus that is camping in your last post is camping at South Carlsbad state beach. Or where is that?

Hey volksterii, you are correct Sir! South Carlsbad, how ya been? Today I saw 6 bays coming down the coast I never saw before, that got me thinking we should have a San Diego Bay meet once every so often. BTW That Bently you gave me has gotten a lot of use!!!! Cheers!

Yeah I have camped there several times. Each time there was at least two other busses there not to mention vanagons. A San Diego meet would be cool and I would go. There are a ton of bay windows here.

My son and I drove to Seattle last week and passed this beauty I think in Oregon. I grabbed my Samba sticker out of the glove compartment and stuck it on the window. Driver gave us a big thumb's up :D

Oh yeah, I was in my Corrolla :(

So I think one day soon I'll post a photo of the one other Bus in town...and it's a pile of rust sitting in the woods. The only other one I know of remotely close to here is a nice splitty for sale about 20 miles away...

Midwest states suck for Bus sightings...I had no idea they were so prolific on the west coast. Guess I should've known though...what isn't cool on the west coast? :(

Man.. i love Socal. i'm from roseburg, OR and a few weeks ago I was in Dana point.. i went down to laguna beach and i was just SO excited over all the bays i was seeing! not to mention the girls in bikini's everywhere! LOL

I wouldn't mind living in my Rivi down there and being a beach bum.

You CA guys see more Bays in half an hour than we see here all year!!!!

I just drove all the way from St. Louis to Key West and back in June,
and we saw (3) Bays the entire round trip.

(1) on a trailer
(1) local dude on Marathon Key
(1) white '71 w/ CA plates, about 30 minutes east of St. Louis on I-64

That was IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty funny today skateboarding with my 7 year old son at the park today and we rode by this and as we passed my son said "dad don't you want to take a picture of this bus?" He's knows me so well :D

I have been doing this about 10 days a month
when im sent to work in San Diego (I live 120 north in crusty LA County

while all my co-workers pitch in & get a hotel or commute
I park it at pacific beach

I thought there were allot of bays in LA & orange but
in pacific beach I saw 5 passing by while eating on harbor blvd
the next day there are 5 more in one parking lot :shock:
not one person I talked to had heard of thesamba

Next time I go ill see how many pics I get

Spotted several buses on the road this weekend & was able to snap a pic of this great looking late bay sunroof on Empire Ave here in Bend.

Passed a couple nice splitties on the way to Sisters yesterday as well... a red & white SC and a green microbus.
