Weber DFAV 2 brl carb.Pertronix billet distributor.Flame thrower coil.No t-stat.No heat.No stand off decklid.Most of the time it diesels after shutting off engine.AS case.Whats the timing suppose to be at?Had it like 2degrees ATDC.Any help would be helpful.Thanks in advance..Kory H.

Rich fuel mixture setting and or jetting.
Incorrect fuel pressure.
Bad needle and set.
Bad float.
Cheep gas or incorrect fuel octane for the combo.

Can also be electrical system back feed.Disconnect/disable the charging system and try it again.If it continues, it's likely one of the problems mentioned above.

Idle speed too fast.

At 2 ATDC, it's gotta be running pretty hot.

I'd start at 28-30 degrees advance at full advance and see what that does for you.

Also try disconnecting the distributor + wire to the coil while it is running and see if it still diesels.

my 1776 was doing it until i changed to 93 octane.
