ok all,

soo i have had quite enough of this Webber progressive carb POS, and with my wife ok'ing the camper special this fall (more likely Christmas ill order it )
i have been thinking about intake and fueling issues.
here are my current problems and solutions
1 fuel tank, inside rusted to hell im replacing the fuel filter every 3rd tank of fuel.
solution: replaced the stock tank with a 16gal plastic fuel cell, it was actually cheaper than getting my tank fixed!!! now i have the proper fuel fittings for the supply return and reference pressure (for the regulator)
2: fuel pump was loose, ok i mean i could grab hold of the fuel pump and wiggle it around.
solution: for the moment, i tightened it up and it seems to have stopped leaking and my bus seems to run better ....... amazing..... i have a suitable fuel injection electric pump to install
3: throttle bodies: i have looked around and talked to a lot of people in a lot of different disciplines and found that there were wildly varying opinions on FI i have settled on these

if any one has any experience with this unit and could relay their thoughts on this type of setup i would be most appreciative. they mount to the standard IDF manifolds and use fairly standard sensors (gm) and have been tested to work with the Mega Squirt FI controller.

Hey jgordon!
Congrats on the CS decision - now...some advice.
Tell Jake what you have - and what you WANT to get out of it. He'll lead you in the right direction for you. I BET - since you don't have stock EFI - he will steer you for Dual carbs (Webbers).
Nuff said - just wait and see... |
