Hi all, when preparing to reinstall my engine and trans. I of course didn't jack the bus up high enough and the bumper bolts are rusted on, so when sliding the engine under, i clipped the top of this piece.
I think it's an "oil breather" is that right?, because I've been flushing $$$ down the toilet on this monster, I'm wondering if I can just repair it with some careful application of hi-strength/hi temp epoxy?
It seems to be a clean break, there is a small spring inside and I can clean the mating surfaces to epoxy together. Will this work, and is there some secret to what this does?
Thanks for the help,
David
P.s.)) sorry about the cell phone pics, I hope you can make it out.
Oops, sorry...I have a '76 with a 2.0 F.I. |

Looks like he needs just the plastic breather valve not the metal body.
Use a new gasket when you install it back on the engine or it will blow oil all around. |
