All that money for the custom suspension components, new wheels, and mega-bling brakes, and the chosen front shocks are... KYB !

Absolutely shocking.

My KYBs work fine! Best wishes with the "new" baywindow.

Being of North American origin, it has probably never previously had a proper roadworthiness inspection, so there might be a lot of safety related things which need rectifying! :-({|=

Before you have the MOT, don't forget to junk those USA specification headlamps and fit some proper UK-pattern ones (preferably H4), with the side-light bulbs. You will also need to junk those rear lights, revise the rear direction indicator & brake-light circuits and substitute some proper British & European specification rear lamp units & lenses.

Is your revised braking system preserving the factory standard ratio between front & rear braking torque? If not, you could get some nasty surprises re oversteer & understeer when braking!

Hi Nige

Hella lights with H4s all ready, rear light will be kept red, reversing lights changed to operate as indicators.

As far as brakes are concerned, will fit new brake master with the new brakes, as per the expert advice ive taken from a UK supplier of aftermarket disc kits

As im only 30 miles from you, dont worry, it will all be safe

Are you going with a 4 or 5" narrowed beam? I will be following your project closely, as I too am going to be installing a WagenWest 4" narrow beam with 2.5" drop spindles. I have not decided if I will run the rear plates, as I am not going that far down in the rear, probabily 2"?

slammedresto Tue Jul 29, 2008 1:40 pm

its a 4" narrowed beam, im gonna be running adjustable spring plates on the rear
