Hi Guys,
am i the only person ever to buy a bay and not know anything about them....appy days. anyway i have a whirring noise (sounds like the gearbox) but put your foot on the clutch and the noise stops, i have changed the clutch bearing, it's still there any ideas???? |

When you step on the clutch, the input shaft disengages [stops turning].
99 out of 100 times, your input shaft bearing is bad. #7 here:
It is in the case and the input shaft rides on it about where #2 is pointing.
On 69 to the end of 71, it is part number 001 311 125. But you may have a scored shaft and just a new bearing will not help. |
