I came across this car last winter rusting away and am only now getting around to posting the pictures. It looks like either a '63 or '64 in Sea Blue? It makes me feel sad to see cars like this returning to the earth. :(

Looks like it has Pop-outs... those are worth saving -- if they are not gone like the rest of the poor car..

I'd grab those pop-outs and whatever else is worth saving off the car. If it can't be unbolted or cut off it right there I'd leave it. Its so far gone its not worth trying to move.

Based on the steering wheel, it's a '64. Such a sad sight  . May have salvagable parts, but too far gone for resto

If the roof is that bad, imagine how the heater channels must look. I was thinking it could be a '64 or a '63 with the horn ring broken off. I don't think they offered Sea blue in '64 though. The tail lights are '63 but the front indicators look like they could be the smaller '63 kind. I wonder if I could graft on a new roof? I know where to find one. I told myself my next project car would be a split - I already have 2 60's beetles and I need another one like I need a hole in my head!
Its too bad really - the interior is not in bad shape. I should contact the owner about those pop outs at least. I could use them in my Pearl White '64. :? |

The horn ring is not broken off. It's a '64/'65 horn bar. Also, the fenders show the outline of the larger turn signal lights introduced in '64. Not to start an argument here, but my money's on it being a '64.

They didn't plant the trees soon enough. Whenever I leave VWs out in the open I make sure to get the trees planted as soon as possible. Is that what's left of a Chevy pickup next to it?

Theres quite a bit of stuff you could snag off of it. All the interior pieces, trim, hubcaps, lights, etc. Thats insane though how rusty it is.
