This is a true and accurate, documented account of my experience with Kevin Shull doing business as ksracecars....
I contacted Mr. Shull thru a classified ad he had posted on RacingJunk.com for a set of custom made pit jacks. On Aug. 15 2008 he sent a message stating that he received my down payment of $1,065, and stated he would "get things going". He told me in a previous message that they" usually ship within 10 days". Before the 10 days were up, I contacted him again to inquire about the finish date and shipping arrangements. No reply. On Sept. 3, 2008, I called both phone numbers listed on his "order blank" http://www.geocities.com/ksracecars/KSR.htm
and got voice mail on both. 2 minutes after I tried calling him I received a message thru RacingJunk saying, "Hey there, I'm running a little behind, sorry. I hope to finish up the jacks this week". When trying to contact him on Sept 3rd I tried sending him a email directly to the address listed on his website, http://www.geocities.com/ksracecars but got a {delivery failure notice} twice.
On Sept. 28, 2008 I filed a complaint with IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center) On Oct 15, I received a message from Mr. Shull, apologizing, but making excuses for why I still hadn't gotten my jacks. He told me that I should have contacted him before posting my experience with him and "slamming him" on the forums of RacingJunk. He told me that he would contact me the following Monday, to let me know "where we are", and that the jacks should be ready to ship by the end of that week. Well, I still haven't heard from him and I still don't have the jacks or my money back. The complaint is still active with IC3, and I sent him a message stating that my next move would be to put a posting on this site. So there you have it.....make your own judgement.

Thanks for your comment, ik make's me fear the most....i tried to caal a few times, and always get an answering machine.
I ask to send an e-mail to report progres, and no answer, the last contact is from around 3 months ago, i will try it for another few weeks and then i will also use the adresses you gave me to file a complain thanks..
till now i refused the idea that i lost the money, and i still would like to do so, but the result on contacting him is about zero...i will see what happens the upcoming two weeks or so...

I filed a complaint with the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. They are just a mediary between the 2 parties to try to resolve the problem, but they do have the authority to place him on their "Buyer Beware" list if he doesn't make an effort to resolve the problem. The next step is small claims court.

i also filed a complain now at IC3 because i don't get any answers anymore...so let's see what happens next, i keep you informed..

nitroaddict2002 Wed Nov 12, 2008 12:30 pm

I filed a complaint with the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. It was assigned a complaint analyst and given case number 08-05433A3. They are waiting to hear back from Mr. Shull.
I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Columbia South Carolina. It was given case number 34017171. He has until November 25, 2008 to respond to the complaint.
I urge anyone who hasn't come forward, who has had bad dealings with Mr. Shull dba ksracecars to file a complaint with at least one of the above mentioned agencies.

i will start that last one also tomorrow....

thehanz Tue Nov 25, 2008 10:36 pm

i also filed a complain now, i have called him a lot off times and never a answer, to this complain he should answer before 9 december so let's see what happens..

nitroaddict2002 Wed Nov 26, 2008 1:50 pm

I just checked my complaint status with the BBB of Columbia, and it now states that Mr. Shull has until Dec 6 to respond to the complaint. Originally, it was stated that Mr. Shull had until Nov. 25 to respond to the complaint, unless they (BBB) either combined the complaint from me with the complaint from "thehanz" or this is the second notice of a complaint that they are waiting for him to respond to.

nitroaddict2002 Wed Dec 10, 2008 4:08 pm

I checked my complaint with the BBB and it now says that Mr. Shull did not respond to the complaint, so the case is now closed. According to the BBB website, his information is now listed, and he has an F rating for failure to respond to a complaint. So now, if someone wants to check him out before getting scammed, his info will be there, it wasn't there before I filed the complaint.
It's off to small claims court now!

Like the others I have been conned by Kevin Shull. I sent $2000 to have him buy a long block for my Bug and then later paid him $500 for Webers. I had my old engine sent to him for parts and my transmission to rebuild so now he has the engines, transmission and carburetors and promised more times than I can count to finish the job. He was to install the engine but has not returned any of my phone calls or numerous emails or texts. And after reading these comments I have a sinking feeling he will not respond. He has the money and seems to hide behind silence. I doubt the BBB will be effective so I need advice on how to get him to act. I am not asking for much just to send all back to where I am having the car restored. My next call is to the police. I have already spoken to them once and they were helpful so that probably is the best route to pursue. That and the courts. I have a completely restored Bug that is sitting in a garage and needs to be driven.
