Who has a historic or antique Westy and what sort of insurance do you use to get great rates if tagged as historic and occassional use only!?
Please let me know ASAP at my E-Mail: soujourn@yahoo.com
Progressive want to charge me a fortune for "pleasure use only" and every 6 months.
The companys that I have talked to that specialize in historic want me to have a "hard" locked garage. I only have the igloo tent to keep the 200" of snow off it during the winter way up here in the North East corner of the USA, New Canada, Maine 04743. The less then 200 people in my town leaave everything unlocked and with the key in them; I do at least lock my stuff up.
Thanks for any help.
Rick
ps
Went from Progressive to Liberty Mutual for both my 99 Jimmy and my 73 westy; LM was less then "half" the cost of Progressive! But Progressive was half the cost of LM on my ATV and 650 VStar; go figure... |

my insurance is through state farm where all of my other policies are. i do not have it tagged as historic or occasional use only but i would bet they would give me a better rate if i did.
the bus is however kept in a locked garage. have you thought of maybe building a garage? |

Try Grundy Insurance, I have been happy with them.

I know Hagerty will not insure anything that is used for camping,So my agent hooked me up with RV insurance that wasn't too bad.
I also have a YOM plate on it (In michigan it's a one time fee).Of course I only take it out 4 to 6 times a year so the insurance company is getting the better end of the bargain. |
