I bought a lot of three cleaners hoping I could use one for my 67 deluxe, part #'s ot two are [211 129 613] and other is [211 129 6138]. The third ir cleaner I know is for an earlier model.
I would like to post pics but do not know how to post them here on the forum

Maybe the Air Cleaner thread from the Bus FAQ at the top of the Bus Forum will help.

211 129 6138 does sound right, maybe it's 211 129 613B

Here is one of the air cleaners

Here is the second air cleaner

They both look like 63-67 style 1500cc air cleaners.

The first one could possible be the 63/early 64-only left hand air cleaner oil bowl as I do not see the breather hose connection on the left side. Both carburetor pieces are for 64-67 though.

63/early 64 1500cc air cleaner mount on the left side of the engine compartment, 64-67 on the right side.

'64 breather connection:

Left side breather connection = 64-67
Right side connection = 63/early '64 only.

The left mounted air cleaner went into early '64. My truck 11665xx (Sept. '63) has the left air cleaner.

If that first one is a '63 only left hand mount, pm me, as I would be interested in buying it.

One carb mount has a factory indent on the carb mount, And if you look close at the bowls they are different and the part numbers are different.
I want to keep the right one and sell the other, so someone else can complete a project.

One is a 1963 1500 left side mount

I checked my '63 Deluxe and '64 Deluxes, both with the 1500cc engine option.

Part #s on oil baths:
'63 1500cc air cleaner - 211 129 613
'64 1500cc air cleaner - 211 129 613B

Hmm, my '65 air cleaner hangs to the right like this picture. Assuming that is a typo?

I don't think it's a typo, b/c he's referring to the location of the breather, not where the cleaner hangs. The breather connection is on the left side of the snout from 64-67 and on the right side of the snout for 63/early 64. The 64-67 cleaner hangs on the right and the 63/early 64 hangs on the left. The differing locations of the breather connection make it easier to run the breather hose to the air cleaner.

Yes, breather connection

arthurnugen Thu Jul 31, 2008 11:37 pm

Ok, that makes sense.

Thanks guys.

The 63 left mount in the pic has the wrong snorkle with it,

i have a 1963 1500 aircleaner, carb mount tube and bracket that bolts to roof that aircleaner clamps to. missing the rubber hose that goes between carb and air cleaner mount. my 65 1500 has all correct pieces so this stuff is not needed.
