K & L Motorsports will be putting on the next VW event at the Pittsburgh Raceway Park in New Alexandria, PA.
The date is Sept 21 and the name is Pittsburgh Classic.
This will be an all VW Car Show, Swap meet and Drag Racing.
Admission will be $15 with 12 & under Free
3 bracket classes with a Guaranteed Purse
Many show classes for air and water

We are looking for sponsors for this event as well.

If anyone has any questions or comments, please let us know.

More information will come next week.

i would suggest changing the name of the thread to describe the location, date of the show and the name of the event..
maybe like VW show at Pittsburgh Raceway Sept 21 2008 New Alexandria, PA

the main pet peve i had about the super jam show last time was after show registeration closed at noon. they didn't let anymore VW's enter the show to park. the parking lot had alot of nice VW's. there was so much empty space at the show.. they could have opened up atleast half of the field for non-registered show cars... just my 2-cents..

Our registration always shuts down at Noon as well.
As for parking VWs near the show area after the deadline, that will depend on the room we have. We can consider it for the show, but since we haven't been there, I really can't tell you right at this moment.

Ok everyone, I finally finished the flyers! They are nothing fancy, can't say I am the best in the world at them, but they will do the job. I have already emailed some of you a jpg version, if you want one, just PM or email me and I will send it to you.
I can send you some flyers in the mail as well, if you send me your address.

Below is a bannerad for it as well. You can copy it and use it where you wish.

This event is only 4 weeks away.
We NEED some help! If you can volunteer to Judge, Park or be at the registration table. PLEASE let us know. We want this to be a good event, but we are only two people! Just send us a PM or email and we can give you details.

you may want to try some other VW dealers in the area..
Sendell VW in Greensburg, PA
Day VW in Monroeville, PA
there is also local VW parts people like Bugstuff in Brownsville, PA

i hope we can keep this show around here. it's the only local VW show...

We have already tried Sendell, they were not happy with the last one, so that was a no go. Will try the other one as someone else already mentioned it as well.

As for Bugstuff, Jack has been the MAIN Sponsor and backer of this event. He IS the reason for us to come in and do the show! We are scanning out to all the places within reasonable distances with flyers and emails.

If anyone has somewhere that we need to send flyers, just send us a note.

I am not but Keith is. He will be at the Holeshot Photos Trailer Rv helping him as well as passing out flyers. Keiths Auto Parts as well as BugStuff have some as well, so if Keith runs out, we can grab some from them, if everyone still has them. If not, I can send you some this next week.

I dropped off my super flo heads, aluminum case, flanged crank, rods and pistons at Keiths in Elkview WV today and Vic stated he and Kelly are going.
