I own a 1958 beetle vin #175884 Originally Shipped to Import Motors in Chicago.
It has been on the east coast since 1989. I am looking to research any information on this car.
Import Motors was a regional distributor for the midwest in 1958. It included Illinois along with surrounding states.
I don't belive they are in business now, but may have sold out to another dealer? Could there be any VW dealers in business today that survive from 1958?
I am also interested in any Import Motors items you may want to sell.
Is there anyone in the Illinois area that can help me find the original owners of this special beetle?
Granted this is a long shot, but you never know unless you ask!
