I want a bigger picture as others have already said.

I can assure you that Dustin will have larger sizes of this, and many other most EPIC shots available soon. You should see the longer exposures he took, just incredible! He will offer large prints, suitable for framing and I know that I, will be purchasing several of them. I am sure that he will have some small teasers as well, but, he also has a side business of selling prints to fund his Photography habit, which, as you can see, is money well spent. Wait until you see some of the regular pictures that he took of SyncroZest. He gave them to Tom, Syncronicity, and Tom will be posting up some epic video's and pictures when he sorts through them. I tell you, these people who have patience........
I wish I had patience like that :D

Tony, impressive to think that the SyncDoka 16" will be running under its own power in a week or so. Congrats! Can't wait to help you get your first pin striping 8) 8)

Lucky Labrador

Portland, OR 97209

Anyone interested in a free fiberglass front bumper off a 90 Westy, or,a set of almost brand new floppy mirrors, or, a set of Michelin HydroEdge tires(4) but one I would use as a spare. From GoWesty and I would not run them on a Westfalia. Off the rim, 95% tread. Send me a PM. Wife would love to regain the garage space.

PM Please.

Hey all... Not sure how many of you were there, but the wife and I
had a good time at the woodburn dragstrip for the nw bug run. Saw a few syncros, one doka, Bob Franklin and his Tristar. Saw the Dub Box in person... Very impressive.

hoping Shane and the Dub Box make it to our meet tomorrow. Could not make it today due to a graduation ceremony at noon.
My friend from HS's son took first in his category for the second year in a row.

Hope to see you tomorrow Josh.

Was there but arrived late ... around 1230 ... and just got back. Much less of a sale and swap meet than the old daze but the show rigs were plentiful and amazing. A mint samba bus for $39k+ !!!

Saw Wally S. and his white doka (pictured by Josh) and Franklin and his tristar. Tony C.'s nice carat/caravelle (bluestar ?) was there too but didn't see him. Heard the Eric/Josh M. duo were around earlier but missed them.

Scored a vintage Coca-Cola tray for a few bucks (no vanagon content - my sister collects that stuff).

Great weather and lots of people turned out.

You have all the fun. Maybe next month I can actually attend a Lucky Lab glass raising ceremony.
Hooray, found the source of mysterious idle bounce. Say does anyone in Portland happen to have a nice Digijet 1.9 AFM to sell?
Ben FP2LETA has them for $65. tested. Please PM if so.
Cheers,
Jeffery

You mean we have to go to another section to see your epic Vanagon SyncroSandBlast pics....Now that just does not make sense. What a gross injustice which hath been laid upon our community.

See you at the Lucky Labrador.

Hoping for a nice turnout. C'mon people!

Good times!

Not even trying, six different configurations and a wealth of knowledge and expertise on hand to discuss. Thanks PDX for being such a forgiving place to have an event without any prior planning. Great talk people!

And, there was considerable chatter about our newest teammamber Kam and her addition to this fine community. A collective WOOOT! was said, FTR........

Cash wants the SyncSunroof straight across for the SyncWest. Decisions!
Damn you WestyBob!

Hey .. glad someone got a few pics - great Josh.

A great small gathering ... about 8-9 vw's and Eric's mint-looking gelandewagen. Always enjoy going to these. 8)

I think it was mentioned there was a tremendous variety of engines represented .... IIRC the stock 2.1, a VR6, subie 2.5, a TIICO, Hal's Bay has a 1.8 older Rabbit engine with unique radiator set-up, and Josh M. has a vw 2.1 (112 hp) in his sinka ... Anything else ? Did I miss a diesel in there ? :D

How much for the SyncSunRoof? :P

Frieda_Roam Mon Jun 04, 2012 2:25 pm

Oh darn. We keep missing these meet-ups! We bought a 1991 Westy in Florida over Christmas and headed for home in it the next day(!). We narrowly averted engine fires and other potential tragedies and lived to tell the tale, but we haven't been able to do much of the fun stuff we have planned for her. We finally got out on a little overnight trip last night.

We're looking forward to attending a meetup where we can get some ideas for improvements and repairs that we need to tackle. And to jealously ogle some dokas and syncros. And syncro dokas. Of course.

It won't last long .... saw that and forwarded to a friend who is looking, Makes you wonder what offers he will consider though. 3-4k would be a bargain, but, sounds like he has quite a bit into it up to the point of failure???

The OP sounds PO'd .... doubt it would be 8 or over ... more like between 4 and 6 .... maybe lower based on the PO factor as in, "get that POS outta here".
