where can i find them, i checked cip1, but i just need one clamp. will a large hose clamp do the trick? i'm not too serious about aesthetics. just my buggy running again and out of my driveway

Are you referring to the clamp at the small end of the boot? I'd say a hose clamp would be fine, but if you have later-style axles there's an indentation where the small end sits and you don't need clamps at all. The boot provides a nice tight fit.

it was one of the large snap clamps with the tit on it.i the largest hose clamp i had was just a bit too small.

Mike's right. You don't really need anything, but if you want something for piece of mind, just use a zip tie on it.

it iis the clamp on the large end of the boot that connects to the cv joint cover. the small end never had clamps and IS a snug fit. so can i just use a standard hose clamp on the large end of the cv boot?????

The end that goes onto the cv joint is attached to the boot. It gets tapped onto the boot. The small end is the one that does/does not need a zip tie.
