Anyone ever watch these "Bug Me dvd's"? Are they any good? Detailed?
Anyone know where I can get them cheap?

I have the Bug Me floor pan and heater channel DVD's. I have only replaced a pan so far, but the video was a great aid. It was a little sketchy at times, but it got me headed in the right direction.

I ordered both from CIP1, at $24.95 each it was about the most reasonable I ever came across.

The Bug Me Videos are very good! You might try trolling on eBay or in TheSamba classifieds for some used ones.

I agree, I bought the engine building one just to understand some things and see how it was done. Keep in mind, things change when you deviate from stock -- lol.

The first thing I did was go on this forum and I also purchased the videos from here:

They are very informative and on several occasions I've called them and I've spoken to Rick or one of his sons. As another poster commented, these videos are for the stock engines and are applicable to the beetles/super beetles. He has one for a type 4 rebuild as well. I believe they are available in VHS and DVD now. I've enjoyed watching them over and over and it made me feel more confident of doing the work myself, which by the way was pretty easy!

Excellent DVD's. Ordered straight from Bug Me and had them in 2 days from ordering. FLA to OH. Got the floor pans and the tranny removal. I know how do the IRS, but it was a huge help for the Swing Axle I have now. Strongly suggest them. As stated, some things are not in there, they show the expanded basics, but it's easy to figure out.
