| Rebuilt the 1600dp using mahle and kolbenschmidt parts and an engle 100 grind cam. Ran the engine with a stock configuration and had good results,mainly commuting the car twenty miles a day in urban/suburban traffic....put 5000 miles on the engine this way,mostly staying out of any situation requiring aggresive driving.Was at the junkyard looking for Saturn parts when I found an amazingly tight set of weber icts...paid twenty bucks for them, the lad at the window did not have any idea of their value...rebuilt the carbs and installed them with a CB performance kit,added a pertronix extractor with quiet muffler....turning the car into a pesky competitor in the urban traffic jungle,am fully amazed at the torque this provided....question...should I install 1.25 rockers?is it worth the increase in power? |
