I have a car show to go to tonight and my 73 Super has decided that it does not want to shut it's driver side door anymore.
(Background) I took the car and washed it down good and well today.
When I was done the locking mechanism on the door was no longer catching on the striker plate.
Please if anyone has any ideas on a fix let me know as this is my first car show with this Bug.

get a bigger hammer
just kiding check to see if its all lined up and moving freely try sliding a screw driver in the latch to lock it and try to make it work with the door open so if it gets stuck in the closed position then the doors not stuck shut |

| Make sure the door is unlocked, pull the inner trigger and rotate the door's latch upward. You latched the door when cleaning, go look at the other side and see the latch looks like a "C" when the door is open. When it is latched it rotates and looks like a "n" |
