i just picked up this 72 standard. i changed oil, timed, valves and now im working on the carb. it runs, and i think ive got it idling ok. im just wondering if this carb and dist are a good combo. ive got the h30/31 solex and a dist without any vacuum advance? (UFO looking thing). should i just try a different dist, or is this combo fine.
thanks for any help, sorry about the dumb questions. |

The H30/31 works well with a 205M vacuum only or a 019 mechanical only distributor.
If your current distributor has no vacuum and has a aluminum body, it's a Bosch OO9. It will work, but there are better options. |

The vacuum advance will work fine and they have them here on the SAMBA. Also look here and match up what you have engine and carb.
