| hey i am lowering my 69 type 3 and was told that i need to cut off the bump stops to lower it 3 notches... i was wondering if you guys could post some pics of the bump stops... and how it looks when you cut them off... also any tips on how you guys did it would help thanks- |

| well, the rears unbolt so im assuming you are refering to the front. you have to take a saws-all to the arm that the bump stop sits on. once you have the tire off, its a no-brainer. its the little extension between the torsion arms. just take your time and use lots of wd40. |

| interesting... i have my notch lowered 3 outers in the front and i only had to remove teh rubber bumpers, not the stops themselves... however, 3 inners would need stops removed. |

| ya, i went 3 inners and 1 outter in the front and 3 inners in the rear. its stupid low, but thats how i wanted it. lol. any kind of sop had to come out. including the swaybar links with the rubber stops :lol: . |

If the rubbers on the bump stops are still OK, I will buy them from you.

Just look at the front suspension. In between the two suspension arms are rather thick stops sticking out, with rubber on both sides. Cut em off. |
