I’ve got a 74 standard beetle and I’m having a few problems with it at the moment. I have a post at this link http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=312998
My main electrical problems relate to the speedometer. I was wondering if someone could tell me what a couple of the connections should be. Seeing as I got the wrong wiring loom, I cut it open and wired the car myself and I’m stumped in a few places.

56a is a ground.
The other on on the top is a 12v+ keyed to power the fuel gauge. |

Am I right when I connected the connection below the indicator light to the ignition starter switch? |
