Should I clean up this pressure plate with sand paper or emery cloth? And if so what grit? Had 100 miles on it before sitting on motor for 5 years. I had a main seal leak but at only 100 miles or so of use with new clutch and leak, I think the disc and pressure plate should be ok still?

It wouldn't hurt to sand the rust off. It's not that rusty, but if it were any more rusty I wouldn't put it back together without sanding it off. Use whatever is on hand, doesn't have to be very fine or anything. Use small circular motions (don't sand it in a directional manner).

Then hit the PP, FW and clutch friction surfaces with brake cleaner to get rid of any oil or grime.

use some emery cloth before the brake cleaner and after the light sanding.

Clean/scuff the plate, buy a new disc.

i agree with clean and scuff the plate, and buy a new disk. you said something about a rear main leaking? if there was oil inside the tranny that has been on the clutch disk, i would trash it. also, the only time i cleaned a clutch disk, i used brake cleaner. it lasted 200 miles and shelled!! actually most of the friction material seperated from the plate. i don't know if it was from the brake cleaner or not, but i've never cleaned one since, and never had one come apart again.

The clutch and pressure plate have maybe 100 miles on them. I had heard that a front main seal and also input shaft seal leak could damage the clutch friction material so thats why i made this post, but at only 100 miles or less use i wasnt sure if a disc replacement was necessary. I have various grits of sand paper but i would need to pick up some emery cloth and brake cleaner. So i will sand with paper then the cloth and finish it off with brake cleaner and most likely a new disc. Should i sand the throw out bearing collar or just leave it alone?

i would go ahead and clean the collar up to while your at it. the disk i had come apart had 0 miles. it was new but my brother set it down on a towel that had gobs of bearing grease on it. that is why i cleaned it. should have cleaned his clock!!

I used 80 grit then 150 grit emery cloth followed with Brake cleaner. You can still see where the rust was but its no longer orange. Should be fine i guess. But seems like a shame to ditch the clutch disc.. But id hate to have to pull the motor and replace it if becomes defective.,

I've sprayed clutch discs down with brake cleaner a few times and haven't had any problems. I don't understand how that would wreck it.

20-30 buck for a new disc is cheap insurance brotha, keep the old one for a spare, pressure plate looks good were it me i would replace the tob also sitting with 100 miles on it is still sitting, again thats just my opinion.
keep on buggin
