| What's the widest wheel that can be installed on a Squareback that has been lowered 3"? 15x6? If so, what size tire(s)? |

Depends on the offset. People have stuffed 17s under a lowered type 3, but EMPI 5 spokes have issues sitting under the fenders.
If you've got good offset, I'm sure you can get some decent tires under there too. |

| I put 195X60X15's on the stock 4.5"X15 wheels down 2 splines w/no rubbing. If you're down 3" you ought to stick with 2.0 liter/Pedrinis/Turtlebacks/Rivieras etc. I don't think there's any good reason to go wider than 6" as nobody has been able to run much more than 205's anyway. The 7-8" wheels are rubbing on the inside & outside or can't turn/can't carry any weight etc! There is NOTHING WORSE than a car with the tires rubbing! P.S. You have 158 PAGES of pics in your Gallery! I think you might hold the Record? |

Yeah, I guess they "fit", but you have >"0" clearance back there. In fact, to me they are too wide and actually stick out the same as the exterior fender metal. No offense, but me no likey. I used to cringe on my old Notch with 195's on 2 liters before the axles were swapped and I had more "clearance" than yours.
205's on 6" Fuchs and shortened swing axles.

Haha, to the OP... they are actually right, the 215's do rub so I'd also recommend 205's instead. :P |

It doesn't bother you? Man, I stress over my front rubbing issue, especially at "speed" and they only rub at full wheel turn.
That'll soon enough be corrected, but no time in the next month. |

| The fronts are 205/40's on a 7" wheel so they don't even run at full lock... the rears only rub when i hit big, like really big, bumps... otherwise, they are fine. |

Record? Nope. I'm only #8 in the photo contributors list, so there's 7 other people who have more pages in the Gallery |
