From what little I have done on EFI and VW
Yes a fuel return line and a vent.

| thank you... i have the return line plumbed. just my tank dont have a vent. i guess i will be putting a vent from the filler neck area. would that be the best place for it? |

| I don't have a vent on my tank yet, but it needs one. It will build up a little pressure when it gets warm out, especially if I had the cap off early in the day to put in gas. I'm thinking about either putting a hose barb and a filter on the filler cap, or drilling another hole in the neck for a puke tube. |
