I got rid of my 009 and now I am having a bit of confusion on this timing thing. Do I time according to the idle, or at total advance? Vacuum hose disconnected? What is total advance supposed to be?
I have a 30/31 carburetor and a 205 distributor. Advice? Help? Thank you. |

If its a 205T use this.
Timing Set At:: 0deg TDC Static or @ 800-950rpm w/strobe w/vacuum hose disconnected and plugged
Advance/Retard Range: Vacuum (Advance Only): 17-19deg @ 1.3 In. Hg, 32-35deg @ 3.2 In. Hg |

Its telling you that it is vacuum only advance and also the advance range that it has.
I have the H30/31 and 205T distributor and these work great together
IMHO. |

I thought MacGyver could make anything work! Are you out of gum wrappers?
The vac advance distributor is excellent with the early PICT carbs, and decent with the 30/31. It's sort of an evil step child IMO. :) |

My engine is powed by gum wrappers.
And thank you for the advice. I was unsure of the compatibility of the distributor with other devices. It certainly seems to work better than the other ones I have tried.
Since this is a 1776cc, would I be better off with dual carbs of some sort? |

| I would say a couple of dells would let that engine breathe a little more and give you some added power. What are your specs? |
