View original topic: How to tell if it's a Ratio Rocker?

Can anyone help me with this one? How can I tell if it is a ratio rocker? I have this nice set, and it doesn't say 1.4 or 1.25. I think they are stock rockers, just hoping otherwise is all.

We need to see the underside of the rocker arm at the pushrod cup. 1:1.25 rocker arms have the pushrod cup moved towards the rocker shaft.

Measure the centers from the adjuster to the rocker shaft, and the pushrod cup to the rocker shaft. Divide the first by the second.

1.1:1 stock rocker it looks like to me.

Thanks!

Are the shafts of any specialty or value, being they bolt on like that? Anyone ever seen this style or brand shaft?

If they are solid steel centers, not floating aluminum sleeve, they are the best kind IMO in terms of solid rocker shafts for stock style rockers. Setting the shims and alignment is harder than with the floating sleeve kind, but in the end it is a more solid setup IMO. I use both kinds, either one will work well if set up right.

Why don't you just measure it and compare it to the stock 1.1:1 rockers that are at the top of that pic?

Another option is to take a (focused) picture, import that picture into a program that will show distances (CAD would be overkill, but on the right track..), and X/Y the distances betwixt the fulcrum (middle of the rocker shaft) and the two end points.

My $.02

X2. My money is on 1.25's judging by the pic.
