that shows the pressure reg goin in to the bottom of the tank, is that right? mine is plumbing to go in the top by the gas heater? and it is not to clear on the return line to the pump? i have that, bentleys, and the idiots guide.. i read it as.. line from tank, through filter to suction. pressure line goes through the little pod thing in the beam, into a spliter (or is it two) one goes to the pressure reg other to the injection line is the the cold strt line plumped in on this? and where does the return feed from?ahhh or is the return fed back to the tank?

From the threaded on fitting on the tank, through the filter, and into the suction "S" fitting on the pump.
Out of the "D" fitting on the pump to the "muffler" on the axle beam. (if you still have it), if not, it goes to the fuel line on the left side of the car.
Comes out the rear of the car on the right, and goes to the injector fuel manifold on the 3&4 side of the engine.
From that fuel manifold, across the engine to the fuel manifold on the 1&2 side of the engine. On this fuel manifold, there is an extra fitting that goes to the cold start valve. This is sometimes just plugged.
Out of the 1&2 fuel manifold, and to the fuel pressure regulator mounted on the forward engine tin, and kind of under the right intake runners.
From the fuel pressure regulator, it goes forward to the fuel line on the right side of the frame, and comes out in the front of the car to the right.
From this line, it goes to a "T" or "Y", and one leg of the Y is connected to the "R" fitting on the pump, and the other goes to the return fitting on the tank.
Got all that?? |

hold up here... just to double check.. are your left and rights from behind the wheel or looking at the front of the car, and as i read this your fuel pressure reg is in the rear but by the looks of mine it is on the front fire wall?? (fuel pressure reg: one line in, two wires and a line goin up the left side of the trunk to the top of the fuel tank)or ( is this someone idea of disconecting the gas heater?) i need a picture of the fuel pressure reg.

I don't think you need to bleed them. Does the fuel pump spin and click off?

yes, and thanks to the good book i also found the test wire for the pump, in front and left of the manifold. so what i learned tody was that, i have fuel to the pump but nothing come out. since it was a different style of pump (two outlet but still german)(same plug style though) of i am goin to have to check the wires, there is a previous but well done wrap job on the wires about 4 or 5 inches back from the plug, so it could have been switched. I &*%$ing hope that is it. I will repost tommorow
