Hi
I have a 1966 bus and I need a complete wiper assembly. That is fine and I can wait until one is available but in the meantime I have to pass a vehicle test and for it to pass it needs wipers. Currently there is nothing.
Has anyone got any good ideas for a temporary solution? I was thinking of taking a motor off a modern car wiper mechanism but I'm not sure that will work as the wiper on a bus doesn't actually move that many degrees.... |

| Not sure of the fit but there a zillion boat windshield wiper motors available. Some are super simple and small with a single shaft. You set the cam with a little wheel for stroke width. There are simple off-on ones and self-parking. It's a tight fit under there but maybe you could jury-rig one and maybe leave the parcel tray out for the inspection. Try westmarine.com or boatus.com for starters. Also if you're anywhere near a boat salvage, fresh or sea water, like a Davy Jones' Locker. |
