I don't get it. I was browsing the parts section and came across this for sale. Why would anyone want to buy this? Odds are it doesn't come anywhere close to matching your current one, and if you are missing one and slap this plate on, it will be horribly inaccurate. And for $30

Bus M-code plate 1970 Price: $30
1970 Bus M-Code plate Plus $5 postage in the USA

Fraud?

ive seen repop Camaro tags for a while now. many unsuspecting buyers fall for fake Z28's and other rare cars. now you no longer have to have an eye for option cues and guides but the tags themselves are also scrutinized now when buying a car. that one is real i know but there are also real tags that are used to "option" a car to the max. what happenned is the industry built enough "special" cars that no one really cares if it is factory original, hence westy, sub hatch, and other special editions will someday not be worth as much if the copies are good.

I would wear it like a dog tag!

I was selling parts off a wrecked '67 last year and this one guy offer to buy the tags and paperwork from me  I asked what the hell you need those for? He couldn't give me a straight answer so I hanged up.
Fraud of course is the reason.

I had a guy call me from a Samba ad, when I had parted out a really rusty Westy, and wanted to buy the tag and title.......I said no!, so Eric, if you need a VW Dog tag, I got one and the bus was green (your fav :D ).

If one were creating a more valuable/desireable model from a less valuable model. Admittedly a long shot. Did anyone decode the tag?
