This sounds like its going to be a fun day. I know there was a great turnout at this show last year, and the proceeds go to a good cause. I know we will be there! :D
Our monthly Sonic cruise is that night (4th Saturday), so it will be nice to spend the whole day at the show, and hang out at Sonic after!

I searched daytonabeach.com and found this:

CAMPGROUNDS & RV PARKS

Daytona Speedway KOA
ADDRESS: 3003 W. International Speedway Blvd. CITY: Daytona Beach
PHONE:
Located next to Daytona Flea and Farmers Market and 1.5 miles from Daytona International Speedway. Easy access from I-95. Clean restrooms, WI-FI and cable TV.

I don't think you can camp any closer than this, but I have never been there so I can't vouch for it. :?

There are a few hotels around the speedway, but most of them (the better ones) are beachside.

I think the show starts at 9 am or so. I know all the info is listed in the show directory, not sure why he didn't post it here.

So where is everybody stayin?

SpiritRT Thu Aug 21, 2008 8:23 am

I'll be driving from my home in Umatilla. I'm bringing my 73 Square.

I can't believe it's been a year already!

halfastvw Thu Aug 21, 2008 9:51 am

KOA is almost right across the street. We'll stay there or just drive over and back the same day, Like last year.

koa.com go to florida then daytona speedway and you can book your space right there.

The KOA doesn't allow tents, Nova campground in Port Orange (where camping was for Winter Jam) looks like a better option. A little further from the show (about 6 miles) but it has a pool and store, Wi-fi, tents and pets allowed, cabins are also available. Pricing is similar to KOA. It is closer to the Sonic aftershow.
At the show this year there should be portolets, show is also being moved on the site for more shade. Show location is on Tomoka Farms road, just west of I-95, just south of route 92 (International Speedway Blvd).
From I-4 take 92 east, turn right just before I-95. From I-95 go west on 92, first left.

Bob, I will split a site with you if you want to.

We usually meet at Sonic at 7pm on the 4th Saturday, so we decided to have
our meet start at 5pm. this way we can have a cruise after the show...

What time do we need to get to the show in the morning? If it is late enough I will just come on Saturday. Or is there a preshow party Friday night.
