Got the new westy and unfolded the upper berth - It seems to me that there needs to be some sort of support for the end of the unfolded section. Mine is supported in the middle fine. The unfolded edge where your head would be is just a plywood with the foam mattress and flexes easily with anyweight, as it spans the width of the top opening. I'm sure I couldn't hop up there, let a lone another adult. Seems like there should be something going across like angle iron to give it some umph.
Am I missing a piece? If so, what? A pic of yours would be great.
Thanks for helping me unravel the various puzzles I'm running into. |

| No extra support is necessary unless something is wrong with the bed itself. |

| Yup, there isn't any extra support at the front. I'm 6'4" and 285 pounds, and my wife and I sleep up there with no problems. |

| Nothing but prime German plywood harvested from deep in the black forest, as EZ sez maybe yours is damaged, was the PO a 350 pounder? |

Thanks - It just seems like 5/8, 3/4 (I should measure it up before posting, sorry) plywood and kind of flexing due to the span. What is yours made of. Could be paranoia on my part.
I may just pick up a piece of aluminium angle to feel better. |
