Hi everyone,
a couple weeks ago my vanagon (78 engine) stopped Idling on it's own, i had to keep pressure on the accelerator, I tried to turn up the throttle but the spring around the screw was compressed all the way. Soooo, i took it off and turned up the throttle any way. Now.... it will idle fine, but it back fires occasionally, some times a little pop pop, some times a ka-bang. Plus without the spring the throttle screw slow unscrews with the shaking of my engine and I have to adjust every so often. WTF should I do? I need a new air filter as well, would that help alleviate this problem?
A lot of advanced thanks for any advice. |
