It's a 70 standard. I've been having problems getting my turn signals and hazards to work. I've replaced the flasher and bypassed the hazard switch I'm still having problems. So I decided to look at the wiring at the steering column since there was a lot of electrical tape and a couple splices I could see. When I got all the tape off and started comparing to the diagram I found that the Black/Green/White and the Black/White had another wire spliced into each of them. They are Gray and Gray/Black. I don't see either of these on the wiring diagram and I looked a year behind and a year ahead and those don't have them either. Does anyone know what these two might be and why they would be spliced this way?
Thanks,
Don |

| Look at Euro wiring diagrams. I think you will find your answer there. I think those are side marker light wires from the Euro T-S switch. |

Thanks Russ,
I don't see any European diagrams in the wiring section. Are they located somewhere else? Also is there a write-up on disassembly and inspection of the steering column electrics? I don't want to take the 4 screws out of the from of the column and have springs and clips flying everywhere.

| I'd be thinking that the purpose was to light an auxiliary turn signal, such as on a bumper or mirror. |
