i installed a new clutch before our first road trip, and it is working smoothly.

- although now my bus is leaking alot of oil (1/2 quart every 200 miles or so) it seems to collect and drip while the bus is running and stop when the bus is stopped. the engine end of the transmission is soaked. we changed the main engine oil seal while changing the clutch. my best guess is that we warped or bent that seal while putting it in. could anything else i did be causing this problem?

- the day after we got back the bus won't start. when we turn the key the electricity runs but nothing else. underneath the bus i can hear the starter clicking lightly. it has some oil on it from the leak i described above. could that cause the starter to go out?

i wanted to ask before jumping back in, to see if these problems could be caused by me, improperly putting our bus back together.

thanks

zak

Could be a bad seal install, did you grease or oil the inner lip when you installed it? Could also be a gallery plug loosening, either way it sounds like the engines gotta come out.

The starter could have issues from all the oil but it could also be a bad ground, loose bolt or terminal or ignition switch problems, more probing and testing required here.

Good to hear you had a great trip.
