It's now Now mine. I've known this Manx for 15 years, the guy I bought it from bought the thing "unbuilt" in the early 70's.
Story:
The guy who bought the Manx kit NEW, intended on putting it on his 56' beetle chassis- the car was decent but rolled. He got as far as removing the body and it sat stored in a shed. The guy I got it from, bought all the pieces and built it in the early 70's. And tinkered and built and used it for many years. But his health caused it to be used very little.
It's still on the 56' Pan, with the crashbox trans and a 40hp.
He custom made the soft-top. And he Custom made the VERY capable plow on the front, it's removable with a bracket on the beam, and has a handle as you can see, to lift the plos from teh drivers seat- I've seen it in use, it SERIOUSLY works with the custom fitted tire chains!
It's #499 from 1970, ....check it out!

Plans?
Hopefully strip the paint back to the original gelcoat, 'maybe' put some stock wheels, hubcaps..wide/skinny of course.
I dont know, I love the cragars, its hard to decide.
For now, just sort out the little things that are kind of hokey, the dash etc..
