I'm new to the bus world, and was told when I got my new '70 westy that the original curtains inside were worth some $$.

I'm going to go with custom curtains and sell the old ones here in the classifieds. I'm just not sure how much $ to ask for in my ad.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

All the curtains are there and in great shape, except the rear hatch curtains which are damaged.

If you've got the front curtain you should be able to get $200 for the set pretty easily.

That's the one....I'd say anywhere $200-$250 depending on how bad the rear curtain is, but you should be able to get that pretty easily. Put up an ad. Include pics of all of the curtains.

Is the top deteriorating? Or is it just dirty?

The top was growing lichen from sitting for a while. It's an old pic taken by the guy I bought it from

Actually, it's quite reasonable. I've sold the front curtain alone for $145 on ebay. $200 is a good deal for a set in useable condition.

What fabric were the originals made of?

I've got a "100% Original Interior" that is pretty god damn nice.

I think my curtains are OG..

Yep, Ive seen those. I dont need the OG look that bad. I would pay that much for an original set in great condition but not a repro set.

I Met that guy in Wolfsberg Germany last year after Bad Camberg, he was wearing that curtain material shirt !
Thanks for the info on curtains, I just found a front & back set.

It makes me sick to think that I sold the interior out of my 69 with all the curtains and the stool for $150 a while back.

i say keep em. they are only getting rarer so i say take em out and put em somewhere no mice or moths will kill them and once bay windows turn to be as expensive as splits people will give anything for them :twisted: . so i say keep em :)

Crukab, that curtain you are calling a rear in your ad (With the snaps) looks like an early front, post up some more pics.
