Hello, I have searched and found that everyone loves the kyb shocks. Will this cure my rear end oscillations in 1st and second gear when I take off from a stop sign with bumps in the road? To over come the rear end oscillations of the bus, I ease off the gas until I am over the bumps. 3rd and 4th dont have this annoying bounce over bumps. The shocks that are on there now are monro gas shocks.

first thing before you go spending money on new parts is check if the old parts are broken, take off one end of the rear shocks and see if they have resistance.

also jack up the rear end , hold the wheel and move it forward and backwards (less that 90 degrees) see if you can feel if there is play between the cogs in the reduction boxes, this could be causing your problem.

Check your tranny craddle mounts...

Yes Ive checked tranny mounts. They are good. I have had the bus since 1995 and never found the problem. I have tried several brands of shocks over the years. When the shocks are new, it seems help a lot but after the shocks break in.....its back to bouncing. It doesnt bounce if theres no bumps in the road in front of me. But if there is and Im on the gas, it bounces and the oscillations get worse unless I let off the gas till Im over the bump or bumps. I have even replaced the cradle and front trans mounts to be sure it wasnt them.

well yes I have resistance in them. Im just not sure if this is normal for buses or I just need better shocks back there.
