| I need some help from the VW community. I would like to mount 61' doors on my 66' Panel. Can this be done? Do the strikers and door latch meet correctly. My 66" upper door frames are restored and will they go into the 61" doors? Any modifications needed? My objective is to have ice pick door handle doors on the 66' Bus. Please help! |

Upper door frames are interchangable.
In order to put ice pick doors on a push button bus you will find the doors bolt to the bus the same, but the late striker will not work with the icepick door.
The normal 12/63 and earlier striker with not work with the later bus.
VW did make strikers to fit a later bus and go with the earlier doors.
They are hard to find.

they switched from three hole strikers to two hole strikers part way through the 66 model year. check your bus. |
